Guided Fishing tours

Are you interested in wilderness fishing? How about catching Arctic char? Or perhaps a grayling that meets the trophy size standards? How would it feel to set out on a fishing trip for a trophy grayling in the wilderness with a guide? In some circles, a trophy grayling is considered to be 50 cm or more, and reaching that size takes some effort, but the reward is well worth it.

Join me in the pursuit of these giants in the northern wilderness. I'll take you to spots, whether it's a lake or a river, where large graylings swim, and nearby you'll find lakes inhabited by hefty Arctic chars (1-2kg). I'll guide you to these locations, and you'll have the chance to cast your fly or lure to catch record-breaking fish.

I’ve spent years exploring the wilderness of Finnish, Swedish, and Norwegian Lapland, scouting out the best fishing spots just for you. Share your wishes, and we'll plan a fishing trek tailored to you and your group. Let’s make it an unforgettable adventure, perfectly suited to your needs.

The difficulty level varies based on the participants, ranging from easy to challenging.

A flight option is also available, either for a round trip or just one way.

When we go mountain biking in the open fells, dogs are also welcome to join. However, please remember to keep the dogs on a leash.

Mountain biking in the open fells

Mountain biking to the open fells? Let’s go to Pallas.

Let’s meet at the Hietajärvi parking area, from where we’ll start riding along the trail in the pine forest and gradually move into the open fells. Bring your own bike or rent one through me. I will take care of the rented bikes, snacks, and the route plan.

As options, you can loop around the Tappuri-Pyhäkurku trail either clockwise or counterclockwise. From the Pyhäkuru wilderness cabin, stunning views open up to the south, where the Pallas mountain range can be seen beautifully. In the Pallas terrain, you can reach the open fells with relatively little effort, and the scenery is breathtaking if the weather is clear. The distance is about 25 km, with a difficulty level of easy to moderate. There is one steep ascent/descent along the way; otherwise, the path is fairly easy, consisting of trails or ATV tracks in the open fells or forest roads in the pine forest.

If needed, I can arrange transportation from Levi to Hietajärvi, guidance along the trail, snacks for the day trip, and a return ride back to Levi.

Mountain biking in Levi.

Are you coming to Levi with your work team to refresh yourselves and looking for a physical activity? Would biking on fat bikes around Levi be a suitable activity for your group? Let’s ride around Kätkätunturi. The route follows cross-country ski trails and easy forest roads and trails. Alternatively, the Levi surrounding route is also an option.

I will be your guide and arrange organic or electric fat bikes for you, as well as snacks and even a warm meal by a campfire at a private hut in Levi. The distance around Kätkätunturi is about 14 km, with an easy difficulty level. We will make stops along the way as needed, depending on the skill level of the cyclists in the group.

And at times, we have decided to take a trip with a group to restaurant Tuikku near the summit of Levi, where you can enjoy refreshments according to your preferences.

Ski Touring and Freeriding in backcountry

Join me for a ski touring adventure in the fells and enjoy breathtaking views and freeriding. We will take our time to familiarize ourselves with the equipment, gear, and movement in the terrain on randonee skis, and above all, focus on safety. I am your trained guide ( avalance technician, Finlav Pro 2) throughout the entire trip. Skiing with headlamps in January is a true experience worth trying. Our options include Levi, Aakenus, Pallas, or Ylläs. The difficulty level will be determined by the participants.

We rent equipment from rental shops in Levi or Ylläs.

Explore Hiking

Would you like to learn the skills required for hiking? Do you want to learn but haven’t dared to venture into the wilderness yet? Join me for an overnight trip to Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park. We will head to the open fells, where the scenery is breathtaking, and nature is close. We’ll camp in our own tents in the immediate vicinity of a wilderness hut, cook meals on camping stoves, and familiarize ourselves with camping gear and hiking etiquette. I will share as much of my experience gathered over the years as possible with you. I also have a couple of tents and other gear available for rent, so you don’t have to buy everything for this trip.

We will depart from the parking area, walk 5 km through the forest to the open fell, camp overnight, and return to the parking area the next day. The difficulty level is easy. Can be done only during snow-free periods.
